Asians In The Olympics

Suni Lee is an inspiration

Swimming

Torri Huske won the first Olympic gold for the United States. Her teammate, Gretchen Walsh, finished a hair under her for silver.

Tennis

Leyla Fernandez, a Canadian with Filipino and Ecuadorean descent beat Czech Republic's Karolina Muchova in a 3-set match 6-4-6 to Muchova's 1-6-2. She advances to the 2nd round.

Archery

The Korean women's archery team won gold once again. They did so in a dominating fashion, dominating the sport for 36 years.

Gymnastics

Suni Lee will compete against her American teammate Simone Biles in the all-around final. Suni Lee's health issues have been a testament to her toughness as it had made it almost impossible for her to perform the sport of gymnastics. She gained over forty pounds and practically had to learn how to do the sport again. Suni Lee is an inspiration to those who refuse to give up.

Skateboarding

Coco Yoshizawa is only 14 years old, but she has a gold medal. Her teammate, Liz Akama, also from Japan, took home silver. What a performance by the two.

Basketball

The Chinese women's basketball team lost to Spain in a close contest 89-90. There was confusion at the end of the game where it seemed as if the team from China were not aware of the time clock or how much time they had left.

Asian Baseballers

Baseball and Sports are part of my everyday life. The best thing to do is write about them. I also run a website on which I analyze boxers to evaluate matchups. Above all, baseball is my favorite sport, and I am using my knowledge to spread unity in the Asian community and hopefully the world.
