Zhilei Zhang is a big heavyweight with a heavy punch. Deontay Wilder, the American, is as well. When two bigger-than-normal heavyweights meet, it's probably not going to end well for one of them, meaning one of them is going to get knocked out. These two men pride themselves on their punching power and each one can potentially knock out the other. Both men lost to Joseph Parker only months apart. Joseph Parker beat Deontay first, then Zhang only three months later: Deontay in December 2023 and Zhang in March 2024.
Deontay Wilder is known for his wars with Tyson Fury, whom he fought to a draw in their first fight, only to lose consecutive fights via TKO and KO. Deontay held his own against Fury, but Fury proved to be too tough to beat both nights. Zhang, on the other hand, lost to Filip Hrgovic in a somewhat controversial fight in which some believed Zhang had won. He followed up the loss with two consecutive victories against highly-rated Joe Joyce. He beat him convincingly both times. In the next fight, however, against Joseph Parker, he lost via Majority Decision, which means one of the judges scored the fight for Zhang.
Wilder vs Zhang is going to pit two giant heavyweights against one another. I mean, these guys are huge. But, they are none-the-less heavyweights, since the heavyweight division doesn't have weight limits. This fight could end with one punch. It depends on who lands the knockout blow first. This fight is too close to call and it could go either way. Wilder has more to lose than Zhang because a loss here could mean two steps back in the division. If Wilder gets knocked out, it would be difficult to bounce back with all the contenders in the division vying for the championship. It's not to say that Zhang doesn't have anything to lose, but a loss here wouldn't hurt his career as much, since he's still relatively unknown outside boxing circles.
